Le Petite Salle

This petite space has an oversized personality. These clients came to us with a vision to transform a small hallway closet off their kitchen into a personal wine room after being inspired by a recent trip to France. They loved the effortless way French bistros display wine—bottles tucked into shelves, glassware within reach, and every detail feeling intentionally part of the decor. We wanted to bring that same spirit home, creating a space that feels collected, refined, and charming.

What was once an awkward corner is now a chic wine retreat, layered with character and warmth. The design features custom cabinetry painted in a rich red palette, a built-in wine rack, and open shelving for both function and display. Statement wallpaper wraps the walls in texture and personality, while unlacquered brass hardware adds a touch of timeless patina that will deepen with age. A marble remnant countertop grounds the space in natural beauty, complemented by a soft counter skirt that introduces a hint of whimsy.

Every detail was chosen to celebrate that effortlessly French aesthetic—vintage accessories, thoughtful finishes, and a sense of intimacy that feels both elegant and lived-in. To finish the space, a vintage French ruffled glass pendant casts a romantic glow, completing the transformation.
